A solo project born from a love of football and a fascination with data.
The Story
ScoresAhead started as a personal experiment. I wanted to see if modern data analysis could actually help understand football better — not to "beat the bookies," but to appreciate the game's patterns and probabilities.
What began as spreadsheets and weekend coding sessions evolved into something more substantial. The more I dug into xG data, machine learning, and statistical validation, the more I realized this could be genuinely useful to others who share the same curiosity.
This isn't a startup with venture funding or a team of analysts. It's one person building something useful, learning constantly, and sharing the results openly.

The Technical Side
For those curious about what's under the hood: the prediction engine is built with Python, using LightGBM for machine learning. The web platform uses Next.js and React for the frontend, with a FastAPI backend handling predictions and data processing.
Everything runs on modern infrastructure with automated daily predictions, hourly odds updates, and weekly model retraining. It's a genuine attempt to do this properly, not a weekend hack.
